IQL MATERIAL REFERENCE: 146 

DESCRIPTION

• 146 is a flexible Polychloroprene (Neoprene) rubber specifically compounded for use as a plant lining Material.

APPLICATION
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• 146 is used for a variety of applications, being resistant to many acids and common chemicals, such as brine. The material contains lead vulcanisation agents and such material can cause grey film to be deposited on the surface of the vulcanised material.

TEMPERATURE
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• Depending upon application: -20 to 100 deg C.

VULCANISATION TIME

• 1.5 hours at 50-psi steam (148 deg C).
  Site vulcanisation can be achieved by vulcanising for 12 hours at 100 deg C. preferably by filling with water and boiling.

SPECIFIC GRAVITY

• 1.83.

COLOUR

• Black.

HARDNESS

• 55 to 65' shore “A”.

STORAGE

• The material should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool and dry location. Each roll should be supported through the centre tube. For details of storage for rubber-lined equipment refer to IQL Limited.

SHELF LIFE

• If stored below 20 deg C: 1 month minimum
