IQL MATERIAL REFERENCE: 136

DESCRIPTION

• 136 is a high quality rigid ebonite rubber specifically compounded for use as a plant lining Material for contact with portable water and foodstuffs.

APPLICATION
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• 136 is used for in applications where the lining will be in contact with foodstuffs.  The material is formulated in accordance with the FDA regulations section 177.2600 for materials in repeated contact with foodstuffs.

TEMPERATURE
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• Depending upon application: 0 to 90 deg C. The material in common with all ebonite rubber suffers a decrease in flexibility with any decrease in temperature.

VULCANISATION TIME

• 3 hours at 50-psi steam (148 deg C).

SPECIFIC GRAVITY

• 1.43.

COLOUR

• Black.

HARDNESS

• 65 to 75' shore “A”.

STORAGE

• The material should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool and dry location. Each roll should be supported through the centre tube. For details of storage for rubber-lined equipment refer to IQL Limited.

SHELF LIFE

• If stored below 20 deg C: 1 month minimum
