IQL MATERIAL REFERENCE: 135 

DESCRIPTION

• 135 is a high quality rigid ebonite rubber specifically compounded for use as a plant lining Material.

APPLICATION
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• 135 is used for a variety of applications, being resistant to many acids and common chemicals. In addition the material is flexible to allow some degree of movement of chemical plant during installation and use.

TEMPERATURE
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• Depending upon application: 0 to 90 deg C. The material in common with all ebonite rubber suffers a decrease in flexibility with any decrease in temperature.

VULCANISATION TIME

• 2.5 hours at 50-psi steam (148 deg C).

SPECIFIC GRAVITY

• 1.36.

COLOUR

• Brown.

HARDNESS

• 65 to 75' shore “D”.

STORAGE

• The material should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool and dry location. Each roll should be supported through the centre tube. For details of storage for rubber-lined equipment refer to IQL Limited.

SHELF LIFE

• If stored below 20 deg C: 1 month minimum
