IQL MATERIAL REFERENCE: 131 

DESCRIPTION

• 131 is a high quality rigid ebonite rubber specifically compounded for use as a plant lining Material. The material has improved chemical resistance compared to IQL 135 but is less flexible.

APPLICATION
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• 131 is used for a variety of applications, being resistant to many acids and common chemicals.

TEMPERATURE
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• Depending upon application: 0 to 90 deg C. The material in common with all ebonite rubber suffers a decrease in flexibility with any decrease in temperature.

VULCANISATION TIME

• 2.5 hours at 50-psi steam (148 deg C).

SPECIFIC GRAVITY

• 1.37.

COLOUR

• Brown/Black.

HARDNESS

• 75 to 85' shore “D”.

STORAGE

• The material should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool and dry location. Each roll should be supported through the centre tube. For details of storage for rubber-lined equipment refer to IQL Limited.

• If stored below 20 deg C: 1 month minimum
