IQL MATERIAL REFERENCE: 116 

DESCRIPTION

• 116 is a high quality soft natural SILICA free rubber specifically compounded for use as a plant lining Material. IQL use this extensively when lining Water Treatment vessels and equipment in their factory especially for the microchip industry where it is critical that silica is not present.

APPLICATION

• 116 is used for a variety of applications associated with Water Treatment plant.

TEMPERATURE
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

• Depending upon application: -20 to 70 deg C. The material can withstand higher temperatures than 70 deg C but will result in a reduced working life.

VULCANISATION TIME

• 1.5 hours at 50-psi steam (148 deg C).

• 1.52.

• Black.

HARDNESS

• 63 to 73' shore “A”.

STORAGE

• The material should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool and dry location. Each roll should be supported through the centre tube. For details of storage for rubber-lined equipment refer to IQL Limited.

SHELF LIFE

• If stored below 20 deg C: 1 month minimum
