IQL MATERIAL REFERENCE: 109 

DESCRIPTION

  • 109 is a high quality soft natural rubber specifically compounded for use as a plant lining Material. IQL use this extensively for lining Water Treatment vessels and equipment in their factory premises. This material due to its hardness assists the assembly of internal fittings, which are required in treatment plants.

APPLICATION
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

  • 109 is used for a variety of applications, being resistant to many acids and common chemicals, whilst also having good abrasion resistance.

TEMPERATURE
(FOR SPECIFIC APPLICATIONS CONTACT IQL LIMITED).

  • Depending upon application: -20 to 70 deg C. The material can withstand higher temperatures than 70 deg C but will result in a reduced working life.

VULCANISATION TIME

  • 1.5 hours at 50-psi steam (148 deg C).
    NOTE SAFETY AND HANDLING RECOMMENDATIONS.

SPECIFIC GRAVITY

  • 1.51.

COLOUR

  • Black.

HARDNESS

  • 63 to 73' shore “A”.

STORAGE

  • The material should be stored out of direct sunlight in a cool and dry location. Each roll should be supported through the centre tube. For details of storage for rubber-lined equipment refer to IQL Limited.

SHELF LIFE

  • If stored below 20 deg C: 1 month minimum
